Ogden Woodworking is Craig Ogden's cabinet shop: custom cabinets, countertops and doors, cabinet repairs, furniture, CNC milling and wood signs, built and installed with care.

One craftsman, from cabinets to the tricky jobs

Ogden Woodworking builds custom cabinets in Goleta from its shop at 375 Pine Ave, and owner Craig Ogden does the work himself. The sign over the door lists cabinets, furniture, CNC milling and wood signs, and reviewers add countertops, custom doors and cabinet repairs to that list.

Customers hire Craig for honest fixes and hard problems. He has reworked cabinets that others said to replace, hung custom doors in the twisted frames of an old multistory building, and fitted chemical resistant countertops for a laboratory that has since hired him again for a second location. Reviewers call him professional, courteous and local.

What Ogden Woodworking builds

One reviewer says Craig installed custom cabinets within the time frame allowed and calls his quality control and craftsmanship outstanding.

Countertops, including lab tops

Countertop cutting and installation is a recurring topic in reviews. Craig has installed chemical resistant countertops with integrated sinks for a laboratory, and the client liked the work enough to bring him back for a second location.

Cabinet repair and refacing

Before you replace everything, ask Craig. One family had been told by others they needed all new cabinets. He reworked theirs instead, replacing doors and hinges, leveling the boxes and fitting sturdy soft-close hinges, so every door now opens and closes with ease.

Custom doors and finish carpentry

Custom interior doors and carpentry for houses and older buildings. In a multistory building with twisted door frames, Craig compensated by adjusting the contact points, so the new doors stay open and do not move once opened.

Furniture, CNC milling and wood signs

The shop sign lists cabinets, furniture, CNC milling and wood signs. If you need a one-off piece of furniture, parts cut on the CNC or a carved wood sign for a home or business, the Pine Ave shop can take it on.

I was lucky enough to find Craig through a cabinet contractor. We needed chemical resistant countertops for a laboratory. I have been getting compliments since day one. I now have him putting in countertops at a second location. Highly recommend Ogden Woodworking!

Craig Ogden Detailed Custom Carpentry. He installed custom cabinets and doors within the time frame allowed. His quality control and craftsmanship is outstanding.

The installation of the doors were particularly challenging because the door frames are in an old multistory building, and many of the doorframes were twisted. Greg compensated for the twisted frames by adjusting the contact points. Now the doors stay open and do not move once they are opened. I highly recommend him.

We had such a wonderful experience with Ogden Woodworking. We had been given the run around by others, told we needed all new cabinets, upsold etc. Craig reworked our cabinets replacing doors, hinges, leveling and really working magic. We can now open and close all our cabinets with ease and he installed soft close sturdy hinges. He was an all around nice guy, professional, courteous and local. Would recommend 10/10

Questions people ask Craig

Do I need all new cabinets?

Not always. Craig has reworked existing cabinets for customers who were told by others to replace everything: new doors, new soft-close hinges and leveling, so every door opens and closes with ease. He can look at yours and tell you whether repair or replacement makes sense.

Do you build custom cabinets?

Yes. Ogden Woodworking is a cabinet maker, and the shop sign lists cabinets first. Craig builds and installs custom cabinets for kitchens, offices and work spaces, and customers say he installed their cabinets and doors within the time frame allowed.

Can you do countertops?

Yes. Countertop cutting is one of the topics reviewers mention. Craig installed chemical resistant countertops with integrated sinks for a laboratory, and that client has since had him put in countertops at a second location. Call to talk through the material your project needs.

What else does the shop make?

Besides cabinets, the sign over the shop lists furniture, CNC milling and wood signs. Craig has also built and hung custom interior doors, including in an old multistory building with twisted frames, so the doors now stay open and do not move.

What are your hours and how do I reach you?

The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and closed on weekends. Call (805) 680-5867 or email sbpoolleague@cox.net with photos and a short description of your project, and include your address in Goleta or nearby.
